New Zealand driver Liam Lawson was disqualified from qualifying for the Mexican Grand Prix after stewards ruled his Racing Bulls car breached a minimum MGU-K power requirement. He had earlier been demoted from eighth to ninth on the grid because of a penalty for a clash with Max Verstappen, and the disqualification sent him to the back of the grid for the race.
