Coverage, freshness & collection methodology

Freshness requires both position and collection times within 120 seconds for aircraft or 900 seconds for ships. Provider status is the last collector result, not a current connectivity guarantee. Data expires from storage after 24 hours on collection runs. Static vessel reports do not refresh position age.

Aircraft area-query progress (persisted, not a simultaneous snapshot): unqueried: 2810 · recent: 0 · stale: 0 · failed: 0 · rate_limited: 0 · interrupted: 0 Run make radar DRY_RUN=1 for the complete resource-plan count. Countries without representative resource locations cannot be queried.

Worldwide aircraft scope uses representative cities from nlp.db, as Weather does; it is not continuous coverage of all airspace or oceans. Ships subscribe to available worldwide reception. Country/region filters show resource-location area envelopes, not political borders or verified object nationality. Coverage is incomplete and depends on receiver reception. No guaranteed satellite/open-ocean coverage, routes, schedules, historical playback or safety alerts. Never use for navigation. Reloading reads stored data only; run make radar to collect or make radar WATCH=1 for continuous operation.
