DFA rejects Ombudsman Remulla’s call to outsource visa processing

Philippine Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla said visa processing should be outsourced to third-party providers such as VFS, arguing that foreign service officers should focus on diplomacy. The Department of Foreign Affairs rejected the proposal and defended its mandate over visa processing.
