Mashatile to visit Bronkhorstspruit amid water contamination concerns

South African Deputy President Paul Mashatile is due to visit Bronkhorstspruit in Gauteng on Monday after reports of gastrointestinal illness linked to contaminated water in the area. According to the Presidency, the visit will include an assessment of the Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Works, updates on water infrastructure, and meetings with relevant authorities. He is also expected to visit hospitalised patients.
