15-year-old Ghanaian immigrant killed in Bronx shooting

A 15-year-old Ghanaian immigrant was shot and killed in the Bronx, New York City, according to police and local reporting. The victim was identified as Javits Frimpong; one report said he was shot near Crotona Place and East 171st Street shortly before 9:30 a.m., and that investigators were searching for three suspects. His father said the teenager had recently moved to the United States from Ghana and had complained of bullying at school.
