Up to 80 St. Maarten businesses register for Miami trade mission; financial assistance is available

Around 70 to 80 St. Maarten businesses have registered for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s upcoming trade mission to Miami, scheduled for November 16 to 19. The mission is intended to connect local and wider Dutch Caribbean entrepreneurs with American business networks, distribution facilities, corporate training and possible export opportunities. COCI President Tamara Leonard said qualifying businesses can receive financial assistance covering up to 50% of the participation fee, and that registrations include firms from sectors such as construction, marketing, consulting, technology, baking, food and beverages.
