The Israel Defense Forces said three Hamas commanders were killed in recent airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, including two who took part in the October 7, 2023 attacks. The military said one strike in Khan Younis killed Anas Akram Muhammad Humaida, identified as a Nukhba Force commander who infiltrated the Sufa army post, and another in Gaza City killed Ashraf Mahmoud Yusuf Dahlan, a company commander in the East Jabalia Battalion. A third strike in Gaza City killed Mahmoud Othman Abdullah Alwan, whom the IDF described as a Nukhba commander in the West Jabalia Battalion. The IDF said the three had been working to restore Hamas capabilities and advance attacks against Israeli troops and civilians.
