NCCK calls for exam integrity as KPSEA and KJSEA tests begin

The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) urged exam administrators to safeguard the integrity of the KPSEA and KJSEA tests as they begin, warning that malpractice should be punished. In a statement cited on October 25, 2026, NCCK General Secretary Rev. Canon Chris Kinyanjui raised concern about past cheating cases, the circulation of exam materials on social media, and the lack of public information on punishment for 78 people arrested in 2025 over alleged circulation of exam materials. The council also called for accountability in marking and grading practices.
