Israel's Central Elections Committee rejected an appeal by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party and allied parties to extend voting hours beyond 10 p.m. local time, saying there was no justification to do so despite high voter turnout across all population groups. Voting was set to end as scheduled at 10 p.m. local time.
