Syrian arrested at Beirut airport with 40kg of suspected cocaine from Ghana

A Syrian national was arrested at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport after arriving from Accra with 40kg of suspected cocaine, according to Lebanese security officials. Lebanon’s General Directorate of General Security said the suspect had been under surveillance after leaving Ghana, in a coordinated operation involving Lebanese authorities and Ghana’s Narcotics Control Commission.
