Proteas edge into a slender Newlands lead as Inglis hits a century for Australia

South Africa took a narrow lead at Newlands after battling back through Matthew Breetzke and Ryan Rickelton, though they remained under pressure with six wickets left to build a fourth-innings target. Australia had earlier been in control after Josh Inglis scored 102, his second Test century, and Alex Carey made 80 before Simon Harmer triggered a late Proteas fightback.
